Terms of use
These terms apply when you use Fahamu, a WhatsApp assistant provided by Fahamu (Pty) Ltd. By messaging Fahamu you agree to them.
The service
Fahamu helps you keep business records (credit, payments, sales, expenses, stock), answers questions about them, and sends reminders you set up. During the pilot the service is free; we will tell you before any charges apply.
Your records
Fahamu uses artificial intelligence to understand messages, voice notes and photos, and it can make mistakes. Check important records, especially anything read from handwriting. Balances are calculated from the records you confirm. Fahamu does not give financial, legal or tax advice.
Acceptable use
Do not use Fahamu for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to store information you have no right to keep. Never send passwords, PINs, OTPs or card numbers. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Availability
We aim to keep Fahamu running at all times but cannot guarantee it. Messages may be delayed by WhatsApp or our providers.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses caused by incorrect records, missed reminders or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
Ending
You can stop using Fahamu at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may end the service with reasonable notice.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
